Day 1: Arrive Johannesburg
Arrive in Johannesburg, the heartbeat of Africa! If you arrive early morning, you have the optional tour to the Cradle of Humankind and the Lion Park or just enjoy a free day in the city. Join us for some sunset welcome drinks and meet your fellow travelers.

Day 2: Soweto, Apartheid Museum and City We start our "adventour" following in the steps of Nelson Mandela by doing a full Soweto tour, enjoying the cultural diversity offered in this unique city. We visit the Apartheid Museum and meet history in the person of Nelson Mandela as Leader, Comrade, Prisoner and Statesman. In the afternoon we travel back in time to Gold Reef City, going down in the mine, pouring a slab of gold en relaxing in the world class Theme Park.

Day 3: Panorama Route to Bushveld
Today we do the great Panorama Route, driving through the historical towns of eMakhazeni (Belfast) and Dullstroom on our way to the 3rd biggest canyon in the world - The Blyde River Canyon. We will look down on the Low Veld from the awe inspiring views at God's Window and stop at the Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the bizarre swirl holes developed eons ago by erosion to show us spectacular rock formations frozen in time. The road drops down the majestic Drakensberg mountains before we arrive in the heart of the Bushveld.

Day 4: Kruger Park 4x4 Game Drives
Steeped in history and legend, we await you in the Kruger National Park to join us in exploring its vast landscapes and spectacular wildlife. Today you have various options to explore the park on your own in Open Safari Drive vehicles.

Day 5: Kruger Park into Swaziland.
The Kruger National Park offers you excellent game viewing options, and some of the best facilities available. Enjoy a game drive through the Southern part of the National Park (Famous for Big 5 sightings) on our way to Swaziland. Get your passport ready to indulge yourself in the beauty of Swaziland, the smallest country in the Southern Hemisphere!

Day 6: Swaziland and Zululand
Today’s drive takes us on a discovering course through a country filled with bygone African traditions and culture. Visit first-hand the magical art of glassblowing when we make a stop at the Ngwenya Glass factory on our way to Hluhluwe, the hub of tourism in KwaZulu Natal.

Day 7: Free day - Zululand Adventure
You have the opportunity to explore the surrounding area, with various options available. 1. Do a Big 5-drive in the iMfolozi Game Reserve, home to the largest population of White Rhino. 2. Join us on a boat cruise on the St. Lucia wetlands. (The Big 5 and St Lucia Boat cruise can be combined for a full day experience). 3. Enter a world forgotten in time at the Tembe Elephant Park, home to the largest Tuskers in Africa. 4. Scuba Dive at Sodwana Bay. (Pre-booking through Expat Explore essential.)

Day 8: Zululand to Durban
We depart Hluhluwe and continue South towards Durban, the city of surf, sun and sand. Visit the Moses Mahdiba FIFA World-cup stadium and tour the aquarium at Ushaka marine world.

Day 9: Cape Town, Hermanus & Garden Route
Board your early morning flight from Durban to Cape Town and continue to the quiet fishing village of Hermanus, famous for whale spotting! After lunch we continue through the heartland of the Western Cape before arriving in the beautiful Garden Route region.

Day 10: Knysna to Addo Elephant Park
A great day to experience the beauty and tranquility of Knysna. Enjoy a relaxing lunch cruise on the Knysna Lagoon, that includes a visit to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, or enjoy the many shops, bars, restaurants, or the Waterfront in Knysna. This afternoon we enter the 3rd largest National Game park in South Africa - the Addo Elephant Park!

Day 11: Addo Elephant Park - Tsitsikamma
Wake up in the beauty of the Addo Elephant park and continue with more spectacular safari game drives. After a full day of game spotting we head of to Storms River in the Tsitsikamma National Park

Day 12: Free day - Garden Route Adventure

Day 13: From Garden to Karoo
On our way to Oudtshoorn we visit an ostrich farm, and after lunch we explore the famous Cango Caves. The evening is yours to choose from various award winning restaurants for the best in cuisine South Africa has to offer.

Day 14: Klein Karoo to Cape Town via Route 62
Route 62 is South Africa's answer to America's Route 66 - but perhaps even better and more beautiful! An amazing route that takes us all the way to Cape Town with the awesome sight of Table Mountain to greet us. Enjoy an afternoon wine tasting in the Boland region.

Day 15: Cape Town - Explorer's Day
A free day to explore and enjoy the spectacular scenery of Cape Town. You have a free pass on the City Sightseeing busses with routes taking you all over town. You can choose to go up Table Mountain in the Cable Car or visit the World heritage site of Robben Island.

Day 16: End of Tour in Cape Town
